Do I need to download an app or install special hardware?
No, ParcelRec is 100% web-based. You do not need to install any extra software (.exe, .apk). You can use your computer's webcam or your tablet/phone's camera just by logging in via your device's built-in web browser.
Where are the recorded videos stored?
They are stored in your company's own Google Drive account, which you authorize upon your first login. Our API system sends the video directly to the "ParcelRec" folder created in your Drive. You have complete control over the storage, and videos are NEVER hosted on our servers.
Which shipping companies and marketplaces is it compatible with?
ParcelRec works independently of the barcode structures of Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, or any logistics company. The system optically reads the barcode, converts it to text, and instantly links your video to the scanned order ID.
Is there a time or size limit for video recording?
To ensure fast and smooth transfer to Drive, our system optimizes the videos. A maximum file size of 16MB is allowed at one time. This is more than enough time for an average packaging process in standard resolution (480p). For longer recordings, you can extend your recording time by lowering the resolution to 320p.
Can our employees log into the system from their personal phones?
Yes! Thanks to the sub-user accounts you create for your employees, they can log in via any mobile phone or tablet and start recording instantly. This saves you from having to buy expensive handheld terminals.
We have multiple branches/warehouses, is one account enough?
If you choose the Professional or Enterprise Plan, you can define different warehouse locations and unlimited staff members under a single company account. The records of all branches can be tracked from a single admin panel.
What happens if my internet connection drops momentarily?
The internet is not required during the recording. However, when the recording is finished and the "Uploading" phase begins, the page must not be closed and the browser on the mobile phone must not be sent to the background. You must stay on the tab until the system says "Successfully Uploaded."
What should I do if I scan the wrong barcode?
If your barcode is damaged or scanned incorrectly, you can manually type it in with your keyboard into the field on the recording screen, or scan the new barcode again with your physical barcode scanner.
